Photographs

While the majority of the documents in the Wah Lee Letters are letters, several photographs were included. There are several of a young man who appears to be Wah Lee, and many from his friends and relatives. The loose photographs were all found in the 1943-1944 Box, all others were in letters.

This is another photo of a young man, presumably Wah Lee, in one of his uniforms. The photo was in an envelope of assorted photos and clippings in the box labeled as holding letters from between the years 1943 and 1944.

This is the third photo of a young man, presumably Wah Lee, in one of his uniforms. This photo was also in the envelope of assorted photos and clippings in the box labeled as holding letters from between the years 1943 and 1944.

This is the fourth and final photo of a young man, presumably Wah Lee, in one of his uniforms. This photo was also in the envelope of assorted photos and clippings in the box labeled as holding letters from between the years 1943 and 1944.

This is a photo of Betty Chin, found in the 1943-1944 box. Both the front and back of the photo are shown here. No letters from Betty were found in the collection.

This is another photo from the 1943-1944 Box. Although it is unlabeled, it is possible that the woman photographed is Ruby Tom. More information about Ms. Tom can be seen in the opposing photo blurb.

This photo also came from the 1943-1944 box and is signed "Sincerely, Ruby." This is most likely a photo of Ruby Tom, who corresponded quite often with Wah between the years 1943 and 1945. Her letters can be seen on those pages of this website.

This is another photo from the 1943-1944 Box. It is unlabeled and features two women.

This is another photo from the 1943-1944 Box. Although it is unlabeled, it is presumed to feature Wah Lee and a woman, perhaps his sister, whose letters appear often, or a female friend.

This is another photo from the 1943-1944 Box. It is part of a series of mounted photos. This is the front photo.

The picture before and after this one are part of a series of mounted photographs from the 1943-1944 Box. This piece shows the directions for mounting these photos.

This is the final section of the mounted photo book from the 1943-1944 Box.

This is the interior of a Christmas Card sent to Wah Lee by Toy Chew in 1943.

This is the envelope from a letter sent by Mildred Wong on May 25, 1943.

This photo has two handwritten sections, one says "Calen" and the other is too faded to read. The date of the photo is unknown.

This is a postcard from the 1943-1944 Box. Although it was in the Misc. File, it is postmarked July 7th, 1943.
