The Years 1946-1955

The box of letters labeled simply "Misc. and 1946" told a different story than the other boxes. While there were letters from a variety of friends and family, as well as the Chicago Institute of Technology, the majority of them were from a woman named Lily, later called Lily Lee. Only one letter gives her name as Lily, but the address and handwriting are identical (in this one letter, Lily is quite annoyed). In the other letters, Lily addresses them to "My Dearest Darling" and signs them "Your Honey," with the occasional "h" in the salutation and "w" in the closing. She included a wide variety of newspaper articles on the Air Force, the medical field, human interest pieces and comics. These are all included in the pdfs of the letter they arrived in. Wah is living in Chicago, Illinois in 1955.
